The two of us

Two of us, on every job, from start to finish.

Elliott’s Landscape and Design is Adam and Sara. There is no crew you have never met turning up in week three, and no salesperson who disappears once the quote is signed. The people who sit down and work out what you want are the same two people laying the pavers.

That is the thing customers keep writing about. One described them as “such a friendly and professional couple who gave us our dream garden”. Another put it plainly: they “work collaboratively with the client at every step throughout the duration of the project”.

We work across the full build, not just the planting. Cut and fill, retaining, concrete, paving, timber, water and then the garden itself, so a space is finished properly rather than handed between three trades who never spoke to each other.

What we build

Everything between the back door and the back fence.

Most jobs are a mix of these rather than one of them. A courtyard usually needs a retaining wall before it needs a paver, and a deck is only as good as what is planted around it.

Retaining walls

Treated pine sleeper walls set between galvanised steel posts, stepped to follow the fall of the block. Built to hold a slope for the long haul and to look deliberate while doing it.

Paving and stonework

Limestone and sandstone courtyards, crazy paving inlays cut in around a feature, and paver and gravel pathways. Pool surrounds and coping included.

Decking and boardwalks

Hardwood decking oiled to bring the grain up, and curved timber boardwalks that carry you over a garden bed instead of around it.

Pergolas and shade

Slatted timber roofs that throw a striped shadow across a patio, and lighter mesh topped frames for climbing plants to take over.

Water features and ponds

Pebble edged ponds with planted margins, set so the water catches the light and the reflection does half the work.

Concrete, paths and steps

Exposed aggregate driveways, plain and coloured finishes, front paths and poured steps. The part nobody photographs and everybody walks on.

Planting and garden beds

Mulched beds, ornamental grasses, flax and screening shrubs, plus advanced trees where a garden needs height on day one rather than in ten years.

Fire pits and entertaining areas

Paved courtyards built around a fire bowl, with bench seating built in along the fence line and the firewood stacked underneath it.

Bespoke timber work

One off pieces made to suit the site, like a hardwood bench built to wrap right around a mature tree rather than sit beside it.

Built to last

The structure goes in before anything gets pretty.

Sleepers set between galvanised posts, levels worked out properly, drainage sorted before the mulch goes down. It is the part of a garden nobody photographs, and it is the reason the photographs still look good years later.
